Yes, by now I have experienced first hand how Extensions and majority of the agriculture careers work at the nexus Agriculture, Public Health, Conservation & Social Science. As we experience the priority of producing and providing equitable food options; we have earned the chance to work as a team searching for a way to navigate through the difficulties of purchasing fresh food. While suppressing the burdens dependent upon socioeconomic class, location, and transport. With us working in different locations I was able to participate in a collaborative meeting discussing promotional improvements to inclusion issues relating to equality. The experiential topic about food distribution categorized with equality and inclusion is an in-depth topic with beneficial connections to history. The ideas shared with everyone and myself from interactions with farmers at the Wye Education and Research Center, to consumers speaking in zoom meetings, and natural resources seen grow over the course of the internship program showed demonstrations of improvements needed for food distribution; while being able to progress interactively promoting equality and inclusion. The work I collaborated with staff, faculty, and organizations distributed monumental improvements developing strategic skills working towards agriculture and equity becoming successfully cultivated.
